SHOCK PROOF SK2 has a very good shock resistance characteristics. The two special outer sheaths provide an excellent protection against impact and mechanical abuse during the lifetime of the cable. This type of cable is comparable to an armored one.
Why shock proof?
A key advantage of the Shock proof cables by Nexans is the high mechanical strength provided by its oversheathing that enables the cable to be buried directly into the ground with no need for an additional sand layer. This lead to time saved in installations, as well as reduced environmental footprint by removing the need for sand handling and supply for the renewable development project.
