Application

 

INTER-AEROFLEX 400Hz 3*50+3*10+6*(4*1) PUR is a low load-loss electrical power supply cables for aeronautical use (400 Hz Systems for dynamic or static applications). The cable design allows all GPU's manufacturer and all airport facilities to rely only on one single type of cable for all applications, including

- Underground pits

- Passenger boarding bridges

- Mobile generators

- Cable coils

- Crocodiles

- Static application, e.g. aircraft hangars

This cable can be operated under extreme environmental conditions and high mechanical stress.

The power is transmitted via 3 special designed and patented phase conductors and a neutral conductor which is divided into 3 single conductors laying in the gaps between the phase conductors. 6 quads of 4 twisted control wires are also placed in-between the gaps for support functions. Especial designed for the use in airports or public areas and buildings where special requirements regarding fire protection and security are requested.

Conductor: special designed and patented (EP 1 916 674 A2 Application N° 07 018 931.1) bare fine copper strands, Class 6 according to IEC 60228

Insulation: TPO

Max. resistance of power conductor at 20°C = 0.39 Ohm/km

Colour code: black, white printed Nr. 1-3

 

Neutral Conductors

Conductor: bare fine copper strands, Class 6 according to IEC 60228

Insulation: TPO

Max. resistance of neutral conductor at 20°C = 1.95 Ohm/km

Colour code: blue

 

Control cores

Conductor: bare fine copper strands, Class 6 according to IEC 60228

Insulation: Polyolefin

Max. resistance of control conductor at 20°C = 19.4 Ohm/km

Colour code: white with black numbering 1-24

Assembling: conductors twisted in 6 quads

 

Tape: one or more fleece tapes

Inner sheath: PUR

Anti-torsion braid: Aramid fibre yarn

Jacked: abrasion resistant PUR, orange RAL 2003
